From the soundtrack to 1986’s Dangerously Close comes a banger of epic bassline proportions. The Smithereens are all about covering The Beatles nowadays, but no one should care much about that, not while this is still floating around that is.
The video gives you an even better idea of what the film is about, by the way. Highly recommended for its perfect mix of 120 Minutes typical indie video style meets 1980’s B-movie commercialism.
They looked like that (above) when this song came out. Try not to hold it against them. 1987 was rough year for a lot of folks.

From what might be the gayest film of all time, (in all of the best possible ways) comes Willy DeVille’s “It’s So Easy.” There is dialogue in the beginning of the song from the film in Al Pacino is expressing his reluctance to continue mascarading as a gay leather daddy undercover in the late 1970’s.
